Next year it will be 5 years since MADS has put on a Theatre Restaurant. There is a general consensus that we should endeavour to stage one in 2016.

To this end, on Wednesday 2nd December commencing at 7.30pm there will be an informal social gathering at the Prince of Wales Opera House of all people who are interested in being involved with such a production. This will also double up as an end of year get together to round off what has been a very busy year so members are asked to please bring a ‘plate’.

We need to discuss such things as:

·         Possible Scripts. The script under consideration is “The Beast of Belgrave Square” which has a cast of 15,   plus extras (dancers and singers).

·         Catering.

·         Not clashing with Mudgee’s 2016 program in the hope that we can attract some of MPAS’s performers.

·         Cast availability.

·         Performance Dates.

·         Rehearsal Schedule.

·         Attracting new cast members.

A Theatre Restaurant is a huge commitment on the part of many people. The 2011 production of “Dirty Work in High Places” involved approximately 45 people (cast, crew, set, costumes, catering etc. etc.), had 7 performances and rehearsed for 12 weeks. The productions are great fun though and our audiences just love them with all performances usually being fully booked before opening night.

If there is anyone that you can think of outside of MADS who would like to be involved please let them know or, better still, arrange to bring them along.
